How we make money

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the vendor pays us a commission. This is our only source of income.

What that means for you

• You pay the same price whether you use our link or go to the vendor directly.
• Affiliate links are the "Visit …" buttons next to prices and are marked as sponsored links.
• Commissions do not change the prices we display. Prices are observed on the vendors' public pricing pages and logged with a date and source; the site shows them whether or not the vendor pays us anything.
• We do not write reviews, accept payment for placement, or rank hosts by anything other than the arithmetic of the cost calculator.

Programs we participate in

We apply to the affiliate program of every host we track. Where a host has not approved us (or has no program), the link goes straight to the vendor with no tracking and no commission. A current list is maintained in our public code repository.
